It supports our bodies by building strength, alongside finding flexibility, balance and softness. Asana can range from deeply restorative practices (yin) to dynamic flows (vinyasa). Through regular practice, asana can promote physical health and energy flow.
The Breath is a dynamic tool which gives life, energy, and vitality. As well as nourishes our system to feel calm, rested, and restored. The breath is the core of our being; its the thread that connects us to this life. In our online breath-work classes, we consciously regulate and bring awareness to the breath to calm our nervous systems and positively impact our physical and mental wellbeing.
Prana means life force and yama means control; in pranayama we use specific techniques to regulate the rhythm and hold of our breath. Moving our prana through our being connects with our internal energy and increases vitality.
Through Meditation we bring awareness to the nature of the mind and create a stable foundation. It can sound daunting, but there’s no such thing as a good or bad meditation - thoughts, feelings and sensations may wash over us, and we let them pass without judgement. We become the seat of the observer. We sit and honor all that is unfolding. Through the practice of meditation you’ll start to notice subtle shifts in how you relate to yourself and the world around you.
Man means mind and Tra means tool or instrument. Mantras are vibrational sounds chanted (either internally or aloud) that allows us to move into a deeper state of consciousness. Concentrating on sound gives focus to the mind in meditation. The vibrations created through mantra carry energy, shifting our internal frequency.
Kriyā is a sacred practice that uses pranayama, meditation, mantra and mudras to awaken our internal energy and create an evolutionary action. Kriyā releases stagnant energy, cleanses, refines and grounds the mind, body and energy systems. To move us from one state of consciousness to another.
Free movement prioritises feeling over form. Feel your body unfold, your mind clear and your breath move you. In this practice, we move intuitively and creatively through a flow that draws on dance and improvisation, freeing ourselves from worries and inhibitions. Connect to your inner rhythm, shake it off and let go.
Yoga journeys are an integrated practices - a somatic, holistic form of yoga that weaves together yogic practices such as pranayama, kriya, asana, mantra and meditation into one session. We’ll move through sound and silence, stillness and fluidity, fierceness and grace, giving space to all parts of yourself. This practice connects mind, body and breath to find wholeness.
